Day 1: Kigali city tour -Volcanoes National Park, drive time 2-3 hours
Kigali is among the most exquisite cities globally, and today, upon collection, your driver-guide will navigate you through this picturesque city. During 1-2 hours of exploration in the capital city of Kigali, anticipate visiting notable attractions, including the Kigali Genocide Memorial. This provides profound understanding of the events that transpired during the 1994 Rwanda massacre. Furthermore, you will explore local markets and craft shops before having lunch, after which you will proceed to Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking Ruhengeri Volcanoes N/Park, & drive back to Kigali
Gorilla trekking in Ruhengeri Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda, commences in the early morning following breakfast. Bring a packed lunch, bottled water, and your equipment for gorilla trekking, and gather at Kinigi for a briefing from the park ranger. At 8:00 am, you and the designated park guide will commence your expedition through the bamboo forest of Volcanoes National Park for a duration of 2 to 6 hours.
While searching for mountain gorillas, you may see a variety of other animals, and upon locating your gorilla family, you will have one hour to photograph them and observe their behaviours. Subsequently, return to the resort to check out, and with a packed lunch, drive back to Kigali for drop-off at the lodge, hotel or airport for departure.
