Ultimate 3 Weeks Namibia Self-Drive Road Trip, Costs & Guide
In the summer of 2026, the four of us embarked on an Ultimate 3 Weeks Namibia Self-Drive Road Trip Itinerary, travelling from Fish River to Etosha National Park, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Similar to other others, we procured a 4×4 Toyota HiLux equipped with rooftop tents and traversed a substantial circuit from Windhoek via the Kalahari Desert to Fish River Canyon, ultimately reaching Aussenkehr and the Orange River, where we engaged in canoeing. Subsequently, we proceeded northward across the Namib Desert, traversing Naukluft Mountain Zebra Park to reach Sesriem and the renowned dunes at Sossusvlei. Continuing north, we traversed Spitzkoppe and Damaraland, saw the Himba people in Kaokoland, and arrived at the Epupa Falls on the Kunene River, which delineates the border with Angola, where we engaged in rafting.
In the final segment of our 3 Weeks Namibia Self-Drive Road Trip adventure, we travelled south into Etosha National Park to observe elephants, rhinos, lions, and various other wildlife species that frequent the waterholes throughout the arid Namibian winter.
