Campervan Hire Namibia | 4×4 Rental RV’s & Motorhomes

Namibia Campervan, 4WD Campers and Motorhome Hire.

Namibia is the perfect place to hit the road in a motorhome or 4×4.

If you are seeking an authentic adventure, we suggest driving a dependable 4WD Toyota Hilux or Landcruise Camper across Namibia.

Reserve the 4×4 truck camper with a built-in lavatory. Enjoy all the comforts of home without having to crawl into a tent on top.

Use a four-wheel drive vehicle to explore all of Namibia’s game parks. Avoid roads that are unsealed or covered in sand. Most of your desired destinations can be reached with the 4WD.

In Namibia, you can find a wide variety of collection points. You won’t have to pay anything more to use some of the larger city depots, but if you need to start or return to a more distant place, there is an additional fee. What this means is that you can be creative and make your own itinerary.

Here are the depots that can be used for collection or return at the moment. Keep in mind that a one-way hire between these depots is often also an option. In Namibia, the major depot is located in Windhoek.

Here are some places in South Africa: Divundu, Epupa, Farm Homestead, Gobabis, Grootfontein, Katima Mulilo, Keetmanshoop, Luderitz, Namutoni, Okahandja, Okaukuejo, Okomitundu, Omaruru, Ondangwa, Opuwo, Oshakati, Otavi, Otjiwarongo, Palmwag, Rundu, Sesriem, Swakopmund, Tsumeb, Walvis Bay.

The inventory is skewed toward 4WD campers that use the Toyota Hilux as its foundation. Due to the numerous dirt, gravel, or sand roads that make touring the wildlife parks difficult in a two-wheeled vehicle, these are necessary. Roof tents are standard on these trucks. The two-berth vehicles each have one tent, whereas the four-berth vehicles have two tents on top. These tents are accessed via an external ladder so some degree of agility is required.

Vehicles with manual transmissions are more common in Namibia because they are better equipped to handle the country’s varied road conditions.

Couples or small groups travelling together will love these 2-berth van conversions with showers and toilets. For families or groups of friends on the road, 4- or 6-berth motorhomes are a great choice.

These vehicles provide all the necessities for a road journey across Namibia. The booking engine displays all available options. See the Vehicle Specs link for both the day and night layouts.

While there is a lot of variation among vehicles, we include all of the available options and provide you a detailed breakdown of the costs before you book.
